I finally got a bike yesterday, so today I rode around campus and took pictures.
This is the bike parking area outside my building. In the U.S. you would see lots of bikes that have wheels missing and are junk. Here, people actually use their bikes.
The dark brown building on the right is the brand new main campus building called the Forum.
On the way there.
This is a bridge crossing over one of the ponds that surround the building. It has an interesting pattern made by the wood on the deck. This is where both my classes are this period.
Outdoor bike parking at the Forum by this interesting retaining wall. There is also an underground bike garage for parking. There are literally hundreds of bikes parked here all the time.

View of the Lumen building. This part of campus was built on agriculturally depleted fields.
The Atlas building is has an "exoskeleton" and is built with no structural columns.
The Lumen building has a greenhouse type thing in the atrium.
These windows are open as vents.
Gaia building. Not sure what goes on there...
... but it might have something to do with the corn grown in the courtyard.
Riding to the city.

All the yards are small but landscaped quite a bit.
This is the saturday market in the town square.
We got some food and ate it by the river.
Found a skate park on the way back and Tom took a fall.
